Does any body have any ideas that I could use for a short film on super 8? If so could you post them please? I would like to use 100 ft of film at the most. I just can't think of anything.
Thanks,

Actually, It really doesn't matter how many feet of film. I just want an idea for a S8 short.

If this is a first film, try shooting outside with K-40.
How about a comic encounter on a park bench?
Character A is sitting on bench; Character B comes down path, sits on bench...take it from there!
Use a tripod and shoot when the sun is long and low (before 11 or after 3) to avoid toplight shadows.
Good luck.

I'm in the opposite boat -- I have too many ideas, not enough film!
Send me your film, I'll shoot for you.

how about a film about a guy who wants to make a film but doesn't have any ideas so he posts a question on discussion forum and receives only smart-ass replies.
seriously though, do what you know. if we told you what to do, it wouldn't have heart.
dig real deep. it's in there. i believe in ya. when all else fails, recreate a dream.

Could you imagine a train engineer asking the passengers....what does this lever do?
Or a surgeon saying...Well, I don't know how to operate on the human body, but I do have a knife!
I say reserve super-8 for specific creativity...and use Video to just shoot ad nauseum until your ideas start to percolate.
And take an empathy class.

Alex I have found going with my heart on things to be the key.....I have found that when many people relate to on a global level basis. I have found that to be truth. Truth is my guide, and healing, for not only myself but everyone involved. Please take a look at our website www.worldharmonyunlimited.com and you'll see a truth that really comes to light. Although this was not shot on film it leads into a greater domain.....personal stories of truth...which to me are beautiful. When someone's truth is told in a good way with film it's magical. Should you have any questions regarding pursuing this kind of truth I would be more than happy to answer them. Give your gift in a good way and it will be come back to you in ways that are immeasureable. Best to you and yours.

That's why I said to use video for unleashing your creativity...and or truth.
Video is an audio medium...film is more of a focused storytellers medium.
I am currently regreting not videotaping the final sermon by the reverend at the local church my parents attend (and that I go to a few times a year)
He was really good....and I lost a chance to preserve a golden moment in time....on video.
He now is transferred to another church...(church rules, 12 years, then you are transferred).
I feel fortunate that I have the ability to document truth via video...while I entertain the notion of story ideas told on film.
What's with all the new message icons...I can't help but stare at them while I type.

Decide on wether you want to be a director, producer, cinematographer, etc for this first project.
If you are going to produce, then all you have to confirm to a potential writer/researcher is what kind of project you really think would inspire you: docu, feature, etc.
I'd help you with a script if you wanted.
Good luck, whatever you do.
